We have a winner in our Bamboo Rod Raffle!

Congratulations to Eric Stepper of Massachusetts!!!

Thanks to all who purchased tickets for this drawing. We came up slightly
short of our goal, but we were close. We raised $870 which will be directed to our restoration
partner, the Batten Kill Watershed Alliance, in order to take advantage of a generous cost-share
agreement they have with the USFS-GMNF. After a 60% match by the USFS-GMNF, our contribution of
$870 will become a total of $1392 worth of additional large woody debris and other in-stream
habitat/structure in the Batten Kill!
Thanks once again to all who contributed, with special thanks to the donors
of this rod & reel.

All Proceeds From This Raffle Will Benefit Batten Kill Habitat Restoration Efforts
The SWVTTU chapter partners with the Batten Kill
Watershed Alliance on watershed projects such as the Twin Rivers Farm
Habitat Restoration Project. SWVTTU will donate all proceeds from this raffle to the BKWA for
use on ongoing habitat restoration projects. As an added bonus, the BKWA enjoys a fund-matching
program with the USFS Green Mountain National Forest, who will then reimburse the BKWA for
approximately half of all expenses on restoration projects, so you can feel good knowing that your
hard-earned money will go further and do more good toward restoring the Batten Kill fishery through
this partnership with the BKWA and the USFS GMNF!
