Join your friends and neighbors for the second Walloomsac River Clean-up of the 21st century on Saturday July 21, 2007. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Bennington Station municipal parking lot (on River Street, opposite the fire house). Teams will be chosen and assigned to various points along the river, from the KFC to the Eveready plant. Members of the Bennington Trail Conservancy ATV club will ferry debris from the river to a dumpster in the parking lot. The clean-up will conclude with a cook-out for volunteers, and an award ceremony for the team retrieving the best garbage.
