Follow up -- Second Annual Opening Day Pancake Breakfast - 2007
Despite the distinctly un-Spring-like conditions, we're happy to report that our
Second Annual Opening Day Pancake Breakfast, held Saturday, April 14, 2007, was a success
due largely to the generosity of the following organizations and individuals:
- Alan & Judy Edmunds of the Battenkill Inn, Sunderland, VT
- Hannaford's, Bennington, VT
- Price Chopper, Bennington, VT
- Shaw's, Manchester, VT
- Wal-Mart, Bennington, VT
- As well as the invaluable contributions of time and talent of chapter members and volunteers who
assisted in preparation for or execution of the breakfast
- In particular, special thanks to Kevin Andrewzejewski for organizing
this year's breakfast. Thanks for running with it Kevin!

A modest crowd of about 50 hardy souls braved the cold to join us for breakfast in support of local
river restoration projects, such as a riparian buffer zone planting project and the Twin Rivers Farm
Habitat Restoration Project. In addition to the breakfast, we also held a 50/50 raffle and started
selling raffle tickets for several items (including a one of a kind hand-carved landing net, and a
print by photographer Thomas Ames Jr., author of "Fish Bugs" and "Hatch Guide for New England
Streams") to be raffled off later this summer at our upcoming BBQ.

- Kevin Andrezejewski - in addition to his aforementioned planning efforts - fearless cooker of meat
- David Carmona - official taste tester, bacon delivery contractor and graphic artist extraordinaire
